Tai Shang Men Xiao Yao School of Spiritual Taoism
The Tai Shang Men (太上门) - Xiao Yao (逍遥派) school of spiritual Taoism is a non-profit organization whose mission is to introduce Taoism in its complete form; philosophy, religion and spiritual arts and skills.
As the inheritor of the ancient guidance art of the Dao called Dao Yin Shu (导引术), Spiritual or Divine Guidance Art, we strive to promote and teach this ancient art of Dao Yin Shu that benefits all aspects of life. Our school embodies the principles of Xiao Yao (逍遥) transmitted by Guang Cheng Zi (廣成子) to Huang Di (黄帝) thousands of years ago and continues to transmit the spiritual teachings of Tai Shang Lao Jun (太上老君), The Grand Pure One, perpetuating the spiritual attainments of Zi Ran (自然), Wu Wei (无为), Qing Jing (清静) and Kong (空) through the practice of Dao Yin Shu (导引术). The concept of Xiao Yao You (逍遥游) the carefree wandering nature of the unfettered mind, relates to our core attitude in our school. Recently the Chinese government through the Taoist Association of China made an official effort to recover the lost information of China's ancient clans in order to preserve it's history. In their findings they discovered Xiao Yao Pai to be listed in 33rd place in order of foundation. The list can be found in White Cloud Temple (Bai Yun Guan).
Dao Yin Shu (导引术), the Taoist Divine Art taught by our school, is a rare part of Taoism which has been hidden for thousands of years not only from non-Chinese, but also within the Chinese community and it's people. Over the many years, the art has been passed down to but a select few disciples and has remained obscure to even the most knowledgeable and informed practitioners. But in the year 1970, something revolutionary happened, our Grandmaster, Lie Shang Hu (李尚湖), began openly transmitting the treasure of Dao Yin Shu (导引术) to the public and Xiao Yao Pai (逍遥派) began to spread across the world. This was the first time in thousands of years that we had ever stepped into the public domain, essentially putting an end to our millenia-old seclusion as a traditional spiritual school.
After experiencing the physical, energetic and spiritual benefits of the ancient art, year after year, many new disciples were initiated and the school grew. Year after year, many new disciples were initiated as Taoists under Xiao Yao Pai (逍遥派) and the school grew bigger and bigger. Today, there are followers of the school spread throughout the many provinces of Indonesia, most of which are active in traditional Chinese Temples and many others whom choose to practice Dao Yin Shu (导引术) in the privacy of their own homes. Shortly after the systems' rapid increase in popularity began to sweep across the country, a zealous group of Dao Yin Shu (导引术) practitioners decided that they needed an independent space where the Divine Taoist Arts could be cultivated. One which would effectively represent the characteristics of the school and act as a venue where Taoist activities and events could be held. And thus, in 1996, the first official Tai Shang Men (太上门) temple was established in Lampung, Sumatra, and Xiao Yao Pai (逍遥派) finally had a home that was open to all. As a testament to the schools success, today, there are over 17 Tai Shang Men (太上门) temples all around Indonesia.
By the year 2000, the Indonesian Taoist Association was founded (PUTI), as an organization which would help to manage it's over 20,000 active and practicing disciples. The organizations focus is on social activity and development. In the next years, Xiao Yao Pai (逍遥派) continues to reach out to people and many disciples were eager to establish Taoist Temples in their own towns. To support this idea, in 2003, we made Majelis Tridharma Indonesia (MTI), an Indonesian Taoist Council, that is registered by the Indonesian government as a formal organization of the Taoist religion.
In Indonesia Tao Yin Shu (导引术) was never officially advertised and it's popularity has always been a direct result of word of mouth. But as we have it today, and with the advent of the internet, words have gained a much more expansive reach than ever possible before. After much consideration, in 2007, Grand Master Lie Shang Hu (李尚湖) gave us permission to introduce our ancient art to the west, and in 2009 we held the first initiation ceremony in the USA, heralding a new era of Xiao Yao Pai (逍遥派) and what we sincerely believe to be a new age in the spiritual evolution of humankind. In 2014, over 100,000 disciples were practising the Divine Guidance Art and growing steadily, all by word of mouth and the remarkable testimonials of the many lives transformed. Today there are over 140,000 practicing Dao Yu, each under the guidance of an authorized Hu Fa Shen.
We have shared Dao Yin Shu in: The United States of America, Australia, The Philippines, The United Kingdom, Singapore, China and Indonesia.

Tai Shang Men Singapore |
On the 16 Jan 2016, the first batch of Dao You (道友) was initiated into Xiao Yao Pai (逍遥派) by Grand Master Lie Shang Hu (李尚湖) himself when he visited Singapore. It was indeed a privilege.
Tai Shang Men (太上门) Singapore was subsequently formed. Every week, Dao You (道友) gathered collective meditation and practice Dao Yin Shu (导引术) in our modest centre at Rangoon Road. The centre (above Eco Wellness Spa) is open for practice and meditation every Tuesday from 7-9pm and every Saturday from 2-5pm. This is also where events and talks are organized for the continued education of our Dao You (道友), fellow practitioners of Dao (道). If you are serious about your spiritual cultivation, don't miss this transformational and life-changing opportunity. This ancient art can become a light for humanity and awaken everyone to the reality of their original nature. We hope to be able to propagate this treasure to our fellow Singaporeans and may everyone be happy and healthy. Contact Person: Address: Opening Hours: |
