School of Esoteric Spiritual Taoism
Spiritual Taoism differs from Religious and Philosophical Taoism in that it deals strictly with the cultivation of the spiritual aspect of the human being. The core of Taoist cultivation lies in spiritual practice, which later gave birth to Philosophy and Religion. By studying Spiritual Taoism and addressing the roots directly, we can form an understanding of the fundamental principles behind Taoist religion and philosophy; and maintain an open, non-judgmental awareness of the different facets of this age old way of life.

Authentic Taoist spiritual cultivation excludes any form of dogmatic belief systems, that constrict or mould the mind of the practitioner into a rigid state of perception. Instead, our Xiu Dao (修道), Cultivation of the Tao, gradually opens up the mind like a blossom and releases our entrapped awareness from the clutches of the acquired post-birth mind; allowing us to experience everything that is, without limitation. With this, our intelligence, wisdom and spiritual skills accumulate daily.

Concepts central to Taoism

Zi Ran (自然)
Natural & Spontaneous

Picture
Being natural is natural, all whom are not naturally are unnatural. Such as: illness is not the result of natural, being unnatural result in illness, but illness due to being unnatural is actually a form of natural. (Alignment with it will prosper and against it will wither.)

Nature create and embrace all living things, everything are born from nature, but everything has a self conscious. Self conscious has it's own thoughts and actions, being self conscious will act unnaturally. By going against nature, we will decline. By that definition, the more natural we are, the longer we will last, and the more we go against nature the faster we will perish.

Wu Wei (无为)
Action of Non-Intervention

Picture
It means after active consideration, base on current situation and trend analysis seize an opportunity to act where it conforms ever changing law of nature and keep things in their natural state without artificially contrived, so as to achieve the state of "doing nothing and yet did everything". In fact, non-intervention is non-subjective action, go with the flow, and without the need to act on it.

Qing Jing (清静)
Purity & Stillness

Picture
It means pure mind and stillness, the mood is not bother, purge one's mind of desires and ambitions, inaction and quiet.

Emptiness

Picture
It is a state of letting go, where we empty our five senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch) and mind (thoughts, logic, words, labeling, memories and emotions). A state where we view and sense the world without using our human senses and mind.
